Gabriel Smith, MD

Gabriel Smith, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified neurosurgeon at University Hospitals and co-director of University Hospitals Spine Institute. An expert in the care of adult spinal disorders, Dr. Smith has a passion for enhancing the overall surgical experience for each patient. His special clinical interests include decompression of the spinal cord and nerves and spinal reconstruction surgeries. Dr. Smith sees patients of all ages with neurosurgical disorders and performs a high volume of neck and back surgeries, including revision and complex spinal surgical approaches. Additionally, he works for the NFL as an unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant, where he leads efforts to diagnose and manage concussions.
